Sneak Peek: Guess what’s coming?

Hiya everyone!

This weekend I hope to release a new pattern for a very special bear. So I want to see your very special bears!

This is Snuffy:

Amiguruthi Snuffy

I’m not releasing a pattern based on him, although one day I probably will make a crochet Snuffy, but the pattern I am releasing links into the childhood teddies we used to sleep with at night. And he’s mine. He is currently 26 years and 5 months old (that’s an old t-shirt he’s wearing) and needs to wear all those pieces of clothing because otherwise he will fall apart. He has more scars from being sewn up than any other teddy I’ve ever met. He got me through spider attacks, my little sister being born, appendicitis, going to uni and living alone for the first time, bad break ups, and everything in between – he only doesn’t still sleep in my bed because a) he’s incredibly delicate and b) I think my other half would find that a bit too weird. I do still get him down if I feel sick or have had a really bad day though. Because teddies don’t stop providing comfort just because you’re an adult!

I love my Snuffy.

Sneak Peek: Dragon

Hi guys. You’ll have noticed the posts have been scaling back on their regularity recently. This looks like it’ll be an unfortunately regular trend due to work commitments – apparently when you become a teacher you sign all your free time away as well as a hefty down payment of your creative mojo.

Don’t worry, Amiguruthi isn’t going away, it isn’t even been put on hiatus, it’ll just become one of those blogs that update less frequently but with super awesome patterns when it does update! Hopefully when summer rolls round and I get six weeks off I can have a splurge and get lots of awesome things in the pipeline. I have plans, I just need time!

To tide you over, here’s something I’ve been making this week:

Dragon Amiguruthi (50) Dragon Amiguruthi (41) Dragon Amiguruthi (39) Dragon Amiguruthi (37)

He’s a dragon*! A Gingerbread dragon to be precise, made for a contest. I’ll be giving you the basic pattern next weekend (hopefully) or the weekend after, and showing you my edits and the original I was trying to imitate.

Bare with me folks! Thanks for sticking around.

*Yes, I’m aware he looks more like a Goblin from the angle of the first photo!
